My father used to have a copy of this as a poster which hung in our den in Leavenworth, Kansas and eventually moved with my father to Knoxville, Tenessee where it has once again found a place in the den. When I was a child I thought this map was 100% accurate, but how the times have changed.

I think I got this blog to the point where it has become something I will post on with a minimum level of consistency. It’s a perpetual work in progress, both writing something that is worth reading as well as having a layout that is not a complete eyesore. It’s getting there, as tedious as it is.

I now know how to post videos and pictures on this thing, how wonderful. Now everyone will know how great the internet can be.

Lazy Lazy Day

My first day off since I started work again. I sleep in until noon, drink coffee all day and fill any moments of silence with my now-complete Tom Waits discography. Slower still am I at getting back into writing. I’m not Kerouac on the road, I write when I feel like it and it’s rare that I do. This isn’t great literature, it’s just three sentences short of an all-out rant.
